A story of fruit, time and just the right taste
Les Douceurs de l’Île were born out of a passion: that for fruit and authentic taste. Behind each creation is a confectioner driven by respect for the product and the desire to rediscover those honest flavors that awaken childhood memories. Here, nothing is left to chance: every recipe is designed to be faithful to the intensity of the fruit, without artifice, with an elegant and unashamed gourmandise.
Fruit in the center
It all starts with selection. The fruits are chosen for their ripeness, typicality, and aromatic richness. When they bear a PGI or PDO label, it's because their origin already tells a story of terroir and high standards. Our objective is simple: to preserve the natural balance of aromas and allow the fruit to express itself fully.
Artisanal expertise, in small batches
In our small workshop, Damien Viairon opts for slow cooking in a copper pot. This allows the flavors to naturally concentrate and results in a melt-in-your-mouth texture, without masking the fruit. After cooking, the paste is cut with a guitar cutter for a clean and even cut. For fruit jellies, each piece is then finely coated by hand with sugar: an artisanal touch signed by Damien Viairon, which guarantees the finish, hold, and that characteristic gourmet sensation.

Fruit pastes & jellies: the difference
The difference lies not in the recipe, but in the finishing.
Fruit jellies are cut and then delicately coated with sugar. Fruit pâtes de fruits, on the other hand, are packaged without coating, for a smoother, softer texture and a more delicate taste experience.
